Kyle Bischoff
Owner
Kyle came into Fortitude Baseball in 2024. Kyle played his college career at The University of Toledo and Michigan State University earning All-Conference accolades. Kyle played under his other co-founder (Gelly) at the beginning of his professional career where he went on to get signed by the Minnesota Twins. In his 2nd year in the Twins organization he is currently playing at the AAA level. Kyle loves the analytical side of the game and how it can be incorporated into the development of our athletes.
Scott Combs
Remote Coach
Hitting/Catching
Scott joins us at Fortitude as one of our Hitting and Coaching Coaches. He played 5 years of college baseball at Michigan State University and Northern Illinois University where he was a captain his senior year. Scotty has played 3 years of professional baseball and is currently playing in the American Association. Scotty has also spent the last 2 season as the Recruiting Coordinator at Macomb Community College where he is in charge of the catchers development. He brings a great deal of knowledge of the mechanical side of catching as well as the mental side to dissect hitters and dominate at bats with pitch calling.
Taylor Grzelakowski
Owner
Taylor (Gelly) originally started Fortitude Baseball in 2021. Gelly played his college career at Madonna University earning All-American accolades and going on to be signed by the Minnesota Twins where he spent 4 seasons. Gelly is the Head Coach at Macomb Community College and the Manager of the Westside Woolly Mammoths in the USPBL where he has coached and recruited hundreds of college and professional athletes across all levels including many of our staff.
Nick Caruso

Nick officially joins fortitude after being a long time supporter of the company since its inception. Nick played his college career at Macomb Community College and Youngstown State University. Following his college career he played 2 seasons in the USPBL as the starting catcher in both seasons. Following his playing career Nick went back to his alma mater to coach and later becoming the Associate Head Coach. He also spend a year as an Assistant Coach at Ball State University where he was in charge of the catchers where he assisted in their starting catcher being drafted by the Detroit Tigers. Nick specializes in the mechanical side of catching.
Jacob Raymond

Hitting/Pitching
Jacob brings a wealth of hitting and pitching knowledge having been a Two-Way player in his college career at both Oakland University and Wayne State University. After his college career, Jacob has been a leader in the player development circuit at every level working as an assistant coach at Macomb Community College and as an assistant coach with the Westside Woolly Mammoths in the USPBL.
Nathan Sier
Director of Performance
While Nathan is the only member of our stuff without baseball playing experience, his experience as a strength coach has led to helping hundreds of athletes reach their goals whether that be getting drafted or just making their high school team. Nathan is currently working as a Minor League Strength Coach with the Washington Nationals where he is coming off a league championship. He is also currently in pursuit of his PHD, looking into training and recovery methods that aid pitchers in their ability to perform and progress in their development day in and day out.
